HONORABLE COMMISSIONER EXTOLS OWAB FOUNDATION’S EFFORTS IN SUPPORTING ELDERLY AND DISABLED INDIVIDUALS

On the 16th of December, 2023, at the esteemed Palace of Isheri-Olofin, Honorable Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Honourable Commissioner of the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development, conveyed his warm regards and profound admiration for the enduring efforts dedicated to the development of the community. Representing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration, Ogunlende expressed heartfelt gratitude to the distinguished host community, led by the esteemed Regent and King-elect, for their unwavering commitment to progress. He particularly acknowledged the legacy of late Oba Wahab Balogun, whose service to the people continues to inspire.

In his address, Commissioner Ogunlende highlighted the pivotal role of the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development in championing the cause of the elderly and individuals with disabilities. Under Governor Sanwo-Olu’s visionary agenda, social development has been significantly elevated, and the ministry is actively contributing to this transformative cause. Ogunlende commended the collaborative efforts of governance and extended profound gratitude to the OWAB Foundation for their considerate outreach to the elderly and people living with disabilities, recognizing their valuable contribution to easing the governance burden.

While unable to attend the event due to unavoidable commitments, Commissioner Ogunlende expressed eagerness to visit the Palace of Isheri-Olofin in the future. He congratulated the recipients of OWAB Foundation’s benevolence and wholeheartedly encouraged the foundation’s team to persist in their commendable efforts. He emphasized the importance of continued support for Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration as they intensify collective efforts to extend assistance to the elderly and people living with disabilities in Lagos State. The Commissioner concluded with a blessing, invoking God’s abundant blessings upon all involved in the noble endeavor.
